NSMU Students Make a Splash in 'Water of Russia' Campaign

The Northern State Medical University's International Faculty recently participated in the nationwide environmental initiative "Water of Russia" campaign. The event, held along the banks of the Northern Dvina River, brought together students, faculty members, and volunteers to promote environmental awareness and community service.
The day began with an engaging eco-lecture, where participants learned about the importance of water conservation and the impact of human activities on the environment. This was followed by a fun-filled fitness warm-up session, which got everyone energized and ready to take on the challenge.
Led by Vice Dean Natalia Kukalevskaya and Acting Rector Nadezhda Bylova, the group of enthusiastic students and volunteers set out to collect various types of litter and debris along the riverbanks. The task was not only to clean up the area but also to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
"Unusual Find" contest, where participants discovered some surprising items, including an old shoe, a blanket, a ceramic faucet, and even a computer mouse. The finds sparked laughter and conversation among the group, making the experience even more enjoyable.
To keep their energy levels up, the participants were treated to a hearty meal of traditional buckwheat porridge with canned meat and freshly baked jam-filled buns. The delicious food was a welcome break from the morning's activities.
